RG Canning Show Card
RG CANNING SHOW CARD
Gary Canning was a car/bike show promotor in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Craig Wise shared one ofĀ the neat RG Canning AttractionsĀ promotional Cards with us.
[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hen Craig Wise, a good friend, was cleaning out some boxes in his garage, he came across this Promotional card, produced by his high school buddy, Gary Canning. Gary was a car/bike show promotor inĀ California in the late 1960’a and 1970’s. He promoted car shows with his RG Canning Attractions business. To help promote hisĀ business, he created this promotional card. The photos for this card were taken at a show he promotedĀ in the 1970’s at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
The front of the long promotional car was done in full color with photos from the amazing colorful shows Gary produced.

The back side was done in one color, black. Printed address labelsĀ would cover up the Postcard address text.Ā

I have cut up the large overview photo of the front of the car to make sure it can be seen a little better This was the era of the low-riders, the Watson and Anderson amazing pearl, candy, and flake paint jobs. This overview photo shows how colorful the carsĀ were.

And the rest of the photos.
Thank you Craig Wise, for sharing this great promotional card.

These pics look great, I really wish I could of been a part of the arena shows. I think it makes a terrific place for shows and I wish these shows were still around. The crowd looks like the Customs then and now building. š š š
