ParticipantNew member here.Ā Raised in the Detroit Michigan area since 1941.Ā Cut my car teeth at a lot of the big car shows around here. Ā The Ford Rotunda show was a big one until it burned down.
Thought I’d pass this along for your comments.Ā Picked up this poster yesterday at a junk shop in Detroit.Ā Appears to have been signed by both Alexander brothers and George Barris.Ā It’s in great condition.

ParticipantI recently purchased in 1949 Mercury that was for sale in Wheatland Colorado. It arrived in Oregon night around 730. Initially when I saw this car for sale I thought it was much more recent custom because of the wheels there on it. But now that I’ve spent a day with it I really think it was probably built in the late 50s early 60s and that the wheels have been replaced. It only has lap belts and the cassette radio is obviously later unit than when the car was built. The owner who was selling it said it was built by Teddy Z and that was all the information he had. I’ve looked up cars built by Teddy Z and I cannot find this one. When I was in high school and when I got out of high school I worked in auto body shops for nearly 2 years. So I can tell you that the work that’s done on this car is outstanding both physically and mechanically. The passenger-side door is open by lifting your foot underneath the door on a special button. The driver side doors only opened with a panelist on the inside. I would really like to find out who built this car. If you have any information please post it or send an email to craig@chronodeco.com. Thanks, Craig

ParticipantHello, love this site.Ā I can’t figure out how to do a search in the for sale forumĀ Also, just read the article on Canted Quad Headlights by Tom Nielsen, great article.Ā Is there a place to obtain not only the chrome bezels, but the hardware like the light bucket as a unit for the quad set-up?
Thanks,
Dutch

KeymasterWelcome Dutch.
We don’t have a specific For Sale forum search in our system. Sorry.
But if you do a generic search you might find what you are looking for, or if not, on the first search page there is an option to search in the Forum only.
