I came across these two design studies done in 1946, possibly for 1949 introduction.

The Plymouth looks like a Hudson! I really like the front end on the Caddy.

The Caddy I had seen before… not this picture though… very nice. I do like the bumper on the Plymouth… with that would have made it into production. Thanks for sharing.

In ’46, shapes like this P-38 Lightning were still fresh in the minds of designers.
