It always seems to be something doesn’t it. It’s amazing any of these projects get done. 🙂

    Nice Save Torchie!

Thanks Mitch. I hope it was a save and didn’t just open up another can of worms. TBD.

Whie waiting for some help today I did some glamorous work on the PS door.

    Folded over the bottom edge.

With my friend inside the car and me out we did some serious tweaking.

Even after the stretch the PS door was a struggle to shut and latch. The window frame was pushing up against the inside of the door jam.

The front lower corner will need a relief cut.

Once I took off part of the top the door worked much better. I planned on cleaning this part of the chop up as the first time I did it was quick and dirty.

The body now sits square on the frame and all measurements are within a 1/8 of an inch from side to side.

That’s my idea of a good fit.

I also made up a temporary radiator support (It’s what hold up the front of the fenders.) so now when I lean on the front fenders, nothing moves.

    Thanks Tony.

    More dull stuff.

I’ve got 3 0f the 4 main Body mounts/ channeled floor sub frame pieces in. They all look about the same as this one.lol

Heavy wall 1×2″ stock. Last one is gong to attache to the inner cowl so I will have to make a bend to clear the trans.

Still working on the dull stuff.

No way to bend this heavy wall stock so it’s relief cuts to the rescue.

I also fab’d up a removable trans mont.

Made the second trans tunnel arch.

Set up the framing for the main cabin floor.

Side rails are tied into the door sills. this is very solid.

My first time ever sitting behind the wheel of this car.

Ill leave it to Tony and Quentin to make the “Vroom. Vroom” noises.

    Thanks all.

Moving ahead on the floor framing.

The 4 main crossmember/mounts are welded in and bolted down.

Started to work on the filler pieces now.
