Hey guys. So the bug has bit me and I’m ready to start on my first project. I have a 1953 Chevy 210 4 door (yes a little less cool but got it for a great price and the Mrs. wanted a 4 door) and it has had “professional work” done to the chassis and it is less than flattering. I’ve worked on race cars my whole life but its time for a new chapter and hotrods and customs is where I want to go.
I’ve watched just about every youtube video on how to’s but I was wondering if anyone can recommend some kind of book or literature on how to do custom work. chopping, channeling frenching headlights and ect. Any tips or guidance I’d really appreciate!Ā

Plus, look at build threads with chops here and on the HAMB. You won’t find exactly your car, but you study the pictures and soak up the methodologies. Then apply.
Hey Kevin. Ā 1953 & ’54 Chevs and Canadian Pontiacs are some of my favourite cars, so it will be nice to see where you go with yours. Ā Four doors can be cool, and a nicely customized 4dr ..well, what’s not to like about that? Ā Best of luck on your customizing journey – keep us in the loop!
