Due to a world-wide attack on WordPress and Joomla based websites for the last couple of weeks/month our Server Provider (Antagonist in the Netherlands) has decided to temporarily add an extra safety measurement to protect their clients from this attack.
This means there will be a extra pop up screen when you log into the CCC-Site (see image below)
The CCC-Website is based on WordPress and even though we have very well protected it we are still affected by these attacks, or better said the measurements taken to prevent harm from these attacks. The pop up window might look different than the one shown below, depending on the browser or device you are using.
This extra log in is completely safe and is used to prevent spammer’s and hacker to access the site.
As soon as WordPress or our Server Provider have fixed the problem this extra pop up window will disappear again.
Until then, it is perfectly save to log in.
All you need to do to login like you used to do to the CCC-Site and Forum, is:Step 1: log in with your regular login name and password
Step 2: The pop up window shows up.
Step 3: fil in the fields on this pop-up menu with;
USERNAME: antagonist
and also the PASSWORD: antagonist
Step 4: hit the “OK” button and you are logged in.Your pop up window should look like this.
Our apologies for the inconvenience.

November 17, 2013 at 00:52 #7631Rik HovingKeymasterHey Rik, why do I keep getting logged out every week or two?
Right now that is the setting we use. If you choose “remember me” you will stay logged in for two weeks. Its a safety option. The two weeks is a standard option from the WordPress system we use. We can change it. But the two weeks have a few plus points. The most important is that when people are logging into the CCC site from public computers (and we know this is done) and when they forget to log out at that location/computer, those computers will stay logged in to the CCC-Site for as long as the automated log out time. Spammers and Hackers love WordPress sites so if those persons are logging for longer periods they can do more harm as well. One other reason is that after two weeks most people will still remember their passwords, if we would make it a year, nobody will remember.
We will think about it if we will change the log in time in the near future.

Followed your instructions to log-in, now I can’t log-out, same window pops up to log-in only.
What do I do?December 31, 2013 at 08:01 #8967Rik HovingKeymasterManuel,
The site is set up that if you are logged in, even if you marked the “remember me” then you will automatically log out after two weeks.
This might be a cache problem on your computer as well. Can you try and empty your cache and possibly quite your browser and try again?

Clicked “remember me”, was able to log out and re-logged in with no problem.
Thanks,
