Really dig the fadeaway and grill choice

The Buick grill looks like it belongs in that car. I also like that the fade aways give me a late 40’s Buick vibe, so they kind of compliment each other.

May do a 52-54 Ford-Merc Quarter Scoop with upper fade line to the rear and fade into shoebox tail light spears. add 52-54 Skirts?

Not sure about the use of the 52-54 skirts.

You could try a mock up of a full “Highway/Bubble” style skirt ( ala Jimmie Jones) and most likely achieve the look you are after.

This looks like it is evolving into some what of a “Radical” custom. I dig it !….:)

I do like the idea of Shoebox taillights at the end of the extended fade fender line, that I think will really work and tie elements together really well.

But I have doubts the ’52-54 Ford quarter panels scoops and skirts will work. I think that will add just one to many shapes to the design. If the fade aways from the front fender were smooth, without the “dog leg”, then perhaps it might have worked, it would have created a bit of a Hirohata Merc side profile effect. But with the dip in the door, I think a smooth line all the way to the back into the Shoebox Ford taillights, and a matching flush shirt in the smoothed ’47 Merc fender will look much better.

    Enjoy the beauty of Customizing

I agree with Rik. I think  (in my opinion) that the scoops might over do it a little. To me, I like the focus of the side profile being the merc dip in the fade aways. It is a huge modification, but when you are done it will blend in with flow of the rest of the car. The scoops might take away from the smooth “melted butter”  look of the car.  Just my two cents. It’s good that you are keeping the ideas flowing though!
