“And the crowd cried out for more!”Ā  Mike, can you tell us what all went into this awesome build?Ā  Rear looks fastback Cadillac, late 40s.Ā  Grille is reminiscent of the Lyle Lake Buick out of the Barris shop.Ā  Headlight pods look like late 40s Olds fenders… ????Ā  Overall side profile, with sloping lower window sill speaks to European coachbuilders (Figoni) of pre-WWII.Ā  What a unique custom.

I was also scratching my head when I saw it and would be interested to know what they started with and what the modifications are. I was thinking sectioned 42-47 Olds fastback with fadeaways…?
And, I like it a lot.

Cool car, I saw it at the KKOA show this summer. Reminds me of an old Jag from the back.

everyone asking about Kelly Pucket’s car it’s a ’46 Oldsmobile. chopped, hard topped, sectioned, full fade-aways, belt line tapers down towards rear, caddy dagmars with the body molded around them, Studebaker taillights, 455 olds engine. definitely has more of a coach built look then a custom. quality of work is amazing.

The chopped 1956 Ford wagon is owned by Mel Watson a long time Kustom guy from CambridgeĀ  Ontario Canada. Mel is a member of the Leadkings club and unfortunately is having some health problems. TheĀ  wagon was chopped by Ricky D. a local Kustom legend and was on the road at one time. Hopefully it will see the road again soon.

This was my uncle Frankies creation and while you may not think that it’s pretty, uncle Frankie was a master with lead. There’s no bondo or fiberglass in his customization’s. He was very instrumental in customizing cars and drag racing back in the day. Fond memories hanging out his race track, Connecticut Dragway back in the 60’s.
