April 22, 2021 at 15:50 #70661MichuParticipantSome weeks ago i bought an copy of the ‘Rodder’s Journal Scrapbook’ on ebay and while i looked through it, i’ve seen this nice chopped 41 Ford and i remembered i’ve seen a similar one in an ‘Speed & Power Handbook’ from 1949. It seems to be just the same car before it was chopped:
April 22, 2021 at 16:01 #70662Rik HovingKeymasterSure looks that way Michu. Both versions look great.

May 3, 2021 at 12:16 #70719Rik HovingKeymasterJohn St Germain share this neat story on his Instagram.
“Cleaning up the shop today and came across a few memories from 25 years ago. When Harry Bradley stepped down as Grand Marshall at his last KKOA event Larry Erickson of (Cadzilla) fame built for Billy Gibbons ( ZZTop) Larry Erickson was the new Grand Marshall in 1996 and selected Shoeze for his first ever award with his name on it. As the chief designer for GM Cadillac division at the time he chose a Canadian car and a Shoebox as the recipient of the Larry Erickson Custom Styling Award. Had to share this with you all. One more key note is that it took a year to build the trophy and I had to return to Lansing Mi to collect the handmade trophy that weighs 30 pounds. Jimmy Vaughan brought out his new custom Chevy that year and spent quite a bit of time hanging with him and Lee Pratt. The next year Jimmy was in Toronto to play the Danforth music Hall and he dropped in to my farm at the time in Stouffville and played some blues piano in E flat?!! On my grand piano then headed off to the gig. Good times 25 years ago”

May 11, 2021 at 20:18 #70753Rik HovingKeymasterLarry Jenkins shared this great story.
Finally, we picked up “”The Fordillac” in Stamford, CT. This car means so much to me and I am so excited to get it back after 56 years. Dad built this car out of two wrecked cars in 1953 and then I drove it throughout my high school years. It was my first car. Kirk McCormick bought it from my dad in 1975 and kept it for 10 years. Then, Jack Quigley bought it and kept it for another 3 years. After Jack, Bob Librandi bought it and kept it in Stamford, CT for 33 years. This car has meant a great deal to all who owned it, but it means the world to me. It will never leave the Jenkins family again and I can’t wait to bring it home to mom.
