Much milder than the typical CCC custom shown here; this is the ’52 Chev coupe I owned and drove from ’72 ’til ’83. Â It was a well known custom here in Saskatoon long, long before I got it.. Â I even hung around the garage of one of the previous owners when I was about 10 yrs old – never dreaming of ever owning it.
Acres of black, rectangular, button-tufted Naugahyde, bucket seats and a full length console adorned the interior. Â It had a typically mild customized exterior, nosed (with a CalCustom bull nose), decked, ’53 Buick tail lights, Chrome reversed wheels with baby moons and a ’51 grill. Â As I said, a very mild custom, but a head turner with “tweaked” 1963 Ford Black Cherry paint (was mint green when built and orange when I bought it).
Took this pic west of Las Vegas on a 5,000 mile round trip to L.A. around 1978(?).
