Yikes – would take some big hammers and saws to beat the ugly out of that beast. Nice job!

Luckily they’re built with a hefty chassis, so it wouldn’t totally disintegrate immediately.

1953 Jaguar with a more streamlined body, and moved back cowl. Super fun project.

Two beautiful examples of “the beauty of customizing” from the digital magic of Rik Hoving.  One, a clinic in enhancement of the original; the other, a celebration of that bygone era of coachbuilt rolling sculpture.  Good on you, Rik.

    1948 Oldsmobile.

Subtile Custom with the main body cleaned up, and a subtile inch and a half section above the belt-line to make the body lines a little more sleek. I also sectioned the side trim, tunnelled the headlights, lowered the skirts and raised the front wheel opening. I added 51 Olds full hubcaps to stay close to home.

Some AI-picture but without skirts sooo I added them . Dont really like the AI pictures but this one looked neat ,”just” needed a slight “speedboat slant” and skirts …  10000

Attempt no 9348 at the Vedette coupe. These are so dumpy looking, desperate measures were called for, so I thought I’d better try something that Ford did with the 51 Victoria and add the low down trim line and two tone paint. It’s very flattering for the fuller figure. Also, it’s a 3w, as God intended. Still not exactly sleek, but much improved I think.

So I was trying to see what I could do with the least number of changes. The screen isn’t cut and the door window frames are stock until after the front vent windows, so that’s two things you wouldn’t have to deal with. But I did pancake the roof, as these cars have a super deep crown to the roof that gets even more pronounced after you chop the top. I used the rear quarter windows at the back, at least as a basis for the side windows. Brought the back of the roof forwards and stretched the catwalk. So it kind of looks like a stock two door car, rather than a custom I guess. A good starting point at least.
