Thanks, though those are pretty much the same as the factory spats. Despite the odd top hinge, i thought it would be fun to keep that really strange door window frame arrangement.

`61 Cad. Just wondering about more of a factory prototype kind of thing.

I’ve seen a couple of real life attempts at that…not overly successful.

There are a few pics online…nobody has really nailed it. The rear fenders arenĀ“t long enough originally and thereĀ“s that odd ‘bustle’ at the back which you canĀ“t just leave there, hanging out in the breeze. I lengthened the rear fenders til they reached the back of the bustle and it gives you a chance to avoid too much of a stubby look.

The Topolino is a much smaller car, but manages to have a nice coupe profile, so it must be possible.

Yes, that is better. A tiny car in real life.

What if Wolseley had Zagato make some race cars for the Monte Carlo rally? aka, the answer to a question that nobody has ever asked….

Excellent. When in doubt, call in the Italians for design help!

    1940 Studebaker President Delux Sedan.
This is already a very nice car to start with with a beautiful factory stock laid back windshield. So I was wondering how it would look like an early 40’s Custom Cruiser. I chopped the top a few inches, and extended the front fenders backwards about ten inches to give the car some more optical length. I lowered the suspension with just a little more drop in the back for the slight speed-boat stance. (perhaps its a bit to low for the early 40’s vibe I was going for, but I like it this way). The door handles are removed and so is some of the trim and emblems, I added ’41 Cadillac stainless on the running boards and teardrop skirts on the rear fenders. It sits on wide whites with single bar flipper hubcaps and has classic two tone paint job in maroon and light gold.
