Ā Of course black can make a terrific base for some of the darker, classic shades popular from the era as well (can you say “bonus”!?!). Ā ..as if you didn’t know!

January 6, 2018 at 11:49 #55897Rik HovingKeymasterPalle is still working on his ’47 Cadillac.
Final stages now, almost ready for paint and upholstery.
After having had some trouble using stainless steel for the vent windows and door frames, Palle decided to create those out of brass channel, and they turned out really great. And the brass should be great for chrome plating as well.
So Palle decided to redo the side trim for the doors as well. Previously he had created the new longer side trim for the extended door panels from stainless steel tubing halves, They looked great. But when it was time to fine tune them and get them to contour with the body in a perfect way the stainless used turned out to be nearly impossible to work with. Solution… starting all over, now from brass.Enjoy the beauty of Customizing

well as Riks says..i have had troubles with the stainless. i will never work with that shit again. just by polishing, the metal changes, and doesnt fit at all. and Brass is easy to polish, and chrome
so heres the door trim.
stay tuned..palle
