Yes Sir. Please just keep in mind when you look at her that I knocked this all out in 2 weeks

Great, i’ll get to see it in person.

No worries man. Being able to drive the car is the whole point of building it. Improvements can always be made along the way. My ’39 is FAR from perfect or done, but being able to drive it is so rewarding.

I really stared at the Conway Shoebox (not the clone) and realized he put his up a tad higher to get over the dash upturn on the inside. He also put his arms at a 45* angle to the hood corner.

Looking good Paulie! Glad the templates worked out. Really like your swirly handles on your spots. Where’d you get them? I just had a couple sets made for both my Merc and my Chevy.

Garlands made me a custom set. I showed him some colors and let him do his thing.

Appreciate the love guys. Spent today chasing electrical gremlins and messing with the carbs.  Tomorrow is grille and finishing getting the fuel sender calibrated to my gauge. New tires have been ordered. Rear axle issues will get addressed after the show this weekend.

I will get the other spot on when I find a 991 bracket. They have a different shape than the universal ones.

The Congregation was an epic show! Now to the thrash for TRoG in 2 weeks. Already making new changes. Pics by club members Del and Ben and good friend Matt Hurley.

Glad you made it… looks great.
That black roadster 29 with coupe top sitting next to you is inspirational as well 🙂

Changes are happening this year. Here’s a 57 Chrysler grille cut down and pitched to match the grille shell,

other plans are in the works. Stay tuned

You can see how much the Chrysler bars got drawn in to match the angle of the grille shell. Shortened a secret amount and cut from the backside as well. Custom brackets fabricated.
The 53 Merc bullets (which the angle mimicked the old grille) will  get straightened and then shortened. Then the entire bumper will get pushed back.3FE5EBD2-0D57-4D2C-80DC-6815AB847711

the grille is loosely in there. There is built in adjustment so it’ll get centered.
