This isn’t exactly the military Olive Drab of my youth……:)

I agree with Ian . Gives it a subtle factory look. The original color on the 41 sedan that I used for the start of my custom was what I call a  Grey/Green for lack of a better word. This look deeper green then that did.

This car is gong to have lots of people that think they know Mercs scratching their heads.LOL

The super charger is the cats meow.  Years ago I tried to buy a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk with a McCulloch super charger on it. I have been fascinated by them ever since.

    Beautiful work and car.

Military green is the new black Tony

The Colorbond chart is more useful than people imagine for selecting early paint options. Rivergum has been used more than once I can assure you from personal knowledge.;)

Beautiful Merc that has a cool “factory kustom” vibe going on. It blends factory details and kustoms details just right.

Classy looking…and a tasteful approach to blending kustom and stock without going too radical in either direction.

Stunning!  Absolutely beautiful!  Of course, since I cannot leave well enough alone – I had to “fix” it to my liking:

Dave, I might be going insane…but I can’t spot the difference

Dave shortened the rear quarter window opening a little bit, making the “C- pillars” slightly wider. Subtile!

Aww Rik, you eagle-eye you!  I wanted to see a bit more fabric at the rear..  it’s only about 3″ at the top of the quarter, but I think it makes the top look a bit more “grounded” for lack of a better term.  Ida sure did some phenomenal work though!

King, there’s a little insanity in all of us!  I should have posted the before and after images together to make spotting the difference a bit more apparent.  Now that it’s pointed out what do you think?

I see it now…haha. I love mile-long quarter windows as long as they aren’t in danger of playing piggyback with the rear window. In this case, they look killer either way!
