Here’s a couple more of the process. In one picture the Rik had posted it showed the orange laminated knobs. Of course these wouldn’t go with the new green paint, but I couldn’t change them they were just to cool. I sprayed them a silver base and the same green candy that was used on the car. A little carful sanding and those knobs are orange again.

Here’s the last two I have for now. The flame were always tough to photograph they showed up in the bright sun but where faint any other time. The Merc in the one picture is owned by Rhys who had also owned the 48. I love this picture two iconic cars in one picture, it doesn’t get much better.
