The whole car is just ridiculous when you really boil it down. I completely agree on the tires, they are clownish, but it is super cool that they were reproduced to show it as it was shown in it’s heyday.
Greg from Speakeasy spotted these ultra cool Golden Sahara shoes.

Just a personal thought…
No matter where it was first shown some one was going to be mad lol
Some things take on a life of their own after they are created and this car is certainly one of those things.They seem to speak to people in a certain way that makes us take a sort of ownership feeling as shown by the don’t touch it vs the it needs to be restored comments that came out around the time of the auction.
The fact yah it is out in public again, doing what it was intended to do makes me happy. No matter where it is shown.
I know that I would love to be able to see it up close as well. Perhaps some day I will
