Well its January 7th, 2019…. only a few more weeks to go for the start of the car show season with the prestigious Grand National Roadster show in Pomona Ca. which will be held from Jan 25 till 27’th, 2019.
Like every year we will be collecting pictures from the attending Custom Cars here on the Custom Car Chronicle. The show has a history of being THE show to debut your latest car, and especially when it comes to Custom Cars.
I will be adding pictures here that have been shared on Facebook and Instagram (with proper credit to those who took the photos), most of them will be Custom Car related, but when something else caught my eyes, I will add it as well. Please feel free to add your own photos, or if you find other photos online that you think should be part of it here, add them as well, but if at all possible, please give credit to the original photographer.
I will start off with some projects that I know will be at the Show, more will follow…. when the show date comes closer.
Jeremiah Russell Jack‘s Shoebox getting ready for the show.
Lew Jeffers 1950 Merc chopped getting done by Keith Dean at South end Kustoms.
Steve Pierce’s Buick is almost done…
The Kandy Devil Chevy is on its way to the USA all the way from the Netherlands to attend the Grand National Roadster Show 2019
Bryan Rusk‘s 1936 Ford Coupe is nearing completion at Eastbay Speed and Custom

I have not heard anything about the Kookie T redo… no idea if they plan for a GNRS 2019 debut or not. Same with the Golden Sahara… No idea.
As for the Hocker Ford… I do know that it will NOT be ready for the GNRS. A little while ago the team decided to focus on getting everything right, and not rush it to make a specific show.

That makes sense to me Rik.
And I never could see how they thought that they would have the GSII done in time as well.

January 9, 2019 at 21:12 #62435SanchoParticipantJeff Myers and I will bringing the 1957 Ranchero. We flew out to California and picked it up in October. Plan was to clean it up, paint it, and show it at the GNRS. Chop was horrible, Jeff ended up cutting the top off and replacing it with a donor top. Stripped the whole thing down and is in the final stages…
Before (as it was when we got it)
After top was replaced:
