    Saw that Frank DeRosa had passed away today. Most of his cars were never really up my alley but sad to lose another custom builder.

    It is sad. Sorry to hear this. The old guys are all moving on. I have seen a number of his creations (for lack of a better term), none of which I cared for. There was a lot of work and creativity in his stuff. But…

    Far more show than anything else.

    Sad to lose another one. To me as a kid in the 70’s, seeing Frank’s cars in the mags was a nice breath of fresh air and inspiration for more creative model car cutting. Finally got to see his Riviera and hardtop 4dr Merc at the Round Up last year and I will say it was a treat to get to see them in person.

    RIP, Frank! He was very gracious, and kind when we went to visit his shop on a trip to the Oakland Roadster show, in the 90’s.
