We recently did two articles on the 1951 & 1952 Indianapolis Custom Auto Shows with some wonderful photos from the Geoff Hacker Collection. These early Mid West shows were a great showcase of some of how the style of the Custom Cars were slowly developing. Some very much inspired with what went on at the West Coast Scene, while others were very much pioneering the more typical Mid West and East Coast Style.
Torchie made a comment on one of the article that he was really wondering how many of these cars had survived… a fantastic idea. I know of a couple that survived much longer than the time they were photographed, and some even up to today. Hopefully we can add some more to this list of survivors.
In the 1980’s the car was owned by Rich Venza.
