Dick Page needs help finding a part for the Jimmy Summers Merc.

For the restoration of the Jimmy Summers 1940 Mercury Dick Page is in need of some help id-ing a small part.
The item he has a hard time finding is the small light that is used as a license plate light on the custom made license plate surround on the car. This part was installed in 1945-46. Chrome top held down by two screws light shined through a hole in the flat strap custom bumper center on Merc . Car ? truck ? marine ? aftermarket ? …new or old ….any suggestions ?

I found this small light cover at the last link you shared.
Its not the same, but perhaps could be modified to look 100% like the one in the photos of what Jimmy Summers used.
