That truck by Winfield lit the torch for me, when the first version appeared on the cover of the little pages. I was 13, rode my bicycle down to The Smoke Shop, to check out the “little pages”. I still have that magazine!

    I hear you Larry…
The Jack Rushton truck that has given me the initial inspiration for my own build. Perhaps not as “Custom” as some but very nice none the less.
It was years after seeing a Picture of this truck that I found out that it was a sedan that they cut the back off of and made into a truck.
    Now they tell me…..LOL

R&C Dream truck did it for me.I seen it right after Bruce Glasscock restored it. Talk about leaving on impression on a 12 year old kid!

This one was owned by Don Orosco some time ago. I think it was built, or perhaps updated in the 1970’s. I have no history on it… Interesting truck with some nice details that makes it look like it was done in the early 1950’s and slowly “updated” over the years.

Here are a few, old and new, I have collected over the years:
    Babe’s Muffler Shop
Some Rancheros from a Spotlight magazine
Batfink (in one of its many incarnations)
    Coppertruck
    ’35 Ford custom – a diecast model, I think
    Dodge Sweptline

Torchie, you asked about the Bill Gaylord Pick Up truck.
He had two … or at least two that are better known.

    Here is one.

very cool pickup i really liked. drop the rear, some skirts and maybe even an early packard grill and it would be perfect!
