“Big stretch in the front fenders. Aligning the running boards with the front door gap and sweeping the running board into the fenders. Then flush mounting original Zephyr skirts into the rear fenders and changing the contour of the rear fenders to sweep up and into the body.”

I take it the front spare wheelwells are getting covered on the LaSalle? My mate has an original 1939 internal memo to Cadillac dealers discouraging the 6 wheel equipped option for the reason of messing with the streamline body envelope. Same mate has one of the four 1934 Aerodynamic Cadillac coupes and the front fenders had the front wheelwells crudely cut out with a torch and covered over and leaded from the factory.
