From Dave….
“Remember these pics for this is the last day of this profile cars stripped n braced inside ready for the chop. Made a quick sweep or radius gauge and clecod it on the back so I will always have a reference of what it was like I’ll prob be changing all that in the back but it’s nice thing to have as a reference”

December 23, 2018 at 07:46 #62291Rik HovingKeymasterFrom Dave…
“Day three skipped the other sides sail panel n instead worked on fixing the door tops. Oh wait what there is no door tops!! Bet not many people were thinking #Zephyr #hardtop !! To late for posts I capped the door n quarter panel still going to play with opening but it’s close. This solved a big ass problem the windshield on Zephyr’s are taller than the door glass then on this one the 1/4 window was a different height. This also eliminates the oversized 1/4 window I did shrink it’s length a lot I’m digging the proportions “

December 29, 2018 at 09:25 #62311Rik HovingKeymasterUpdate on the 2-door Zephyr chop at Von Hitch Kustoms
“Yesterday got the passenger sail panel roughed out and door n quarter capped on that side today jumped back on drivers side window opening after staring at it over Xmas made some adjustments it ran downhill forward really bad then built a piece where the posts were and that is more complicated than it appears it’s convex on the face and concave on the bottom slightly to curve with the opening no Power hammer or Pullmax on that just T Dollie work next will be front and back corners going to make hammer forms for that then repeat all this on passenger side “

January 3, 2019 at 10:31 #62389Rik HovingKeymasterMore progress from Von Hitch Kustoms on the Lincoln.
“Well figured out the front corner with some modifications the glass will work. I hate when a hardtop has a big lump of the A pillar that hangs in the door opening though a round corner looks good the shit that hangs in the opening over the door doesn’t look good so this was my best choice. Made a lil hammer form to hold the shape in part still have to weld up the bolt hole. Lil T stake hammer slapper and a corking tool and I got it. The part above the door is actually off the b pillar recycled that to the A pillar next will be a hammer form for the back corner then glue the rest together.”
