One of the things I’ve learned is to quickly make the opposite side before you forget any tricks or quirks you did when you made the first. So Bronte came to the shed on Saturday and Dad and daughter pushed and pulled on the English wheel and it came together very quickly.

I’m itching to get onto the doors but I think I will remake the lower cowl with a curved edge rather than vertical. Doors will be suicide and will use the spare hinges from the 39, despite possibly being a little too large but I like the idea of reuse and that they are Cadillac.P1000813

Very interesting project…lots of nice shapes and proportions going on. That ’46-’47 Packard grill idea if interesting. I had one I was tripping over in my parts stash for years…couldn’t sell it. About two months ago, a guy from up north wanted it for a track nose hot rod and it sold immediately. I had three calls on it right after that. Weird how that goes…

I do like that smooth T Tony. Yes the belly pans and smooth hood are great.

I have a couple of instrument cluster ideas. Early 50s cad or 37 Olds. I love the Deco Olds style. The Cad probably suits the dash better. Just going to let it evolve a little more before I commit P1000830

Love those 37 Olds gauges… I think those will fit the theme better than the 50’s Caddy unit.

You are right Rik, plus the Olds speedo is already calibrated to going 100mph standing still. I have a full pair of mint ones that Doug Charter is kindly looking after for me. Hoping to get to see him soon. IMG_0174
