Really enjoy following your build thread a lot of inspiration, like the louvers I was on the fence about louvering my hood but seeing yours I really think they look good, plus I have two hoods that makes it easier
“Just finished the other vent window…using my method of heating over steel pattern . Cutting and welding you have to chrome it..my way just polish it out.”
“I just got windwing in frame… making a pin for pivot as the shape of these frames make stock pivot hard to handle. BUT…..look at this pivot…I can’t believe it works…let’s see some pivots on 41 to 46 Fords. Interesting.”
“Right vent trimmed and set …had rubber in and is good…now polish and glass. Glass has to be true so frame is not stretched which would throw off pivots.”
Very cool…I normally do the cut, weld, and chrome routine for vent windows but I have heated and bent them in the past. After seeing this, I think I will try it again. Chrome is expensive and more risk of warping from buffing. The last set I got back had some issues…
