I was broswing Facebook today and came across a really interesting ’36 Ford project being created by Brandon Penserini and his crew at his American Canyon California Altissimo Restorations Shop. I knew this shop had already created numerous of great projects in the past. One of the guys working with the shop is one of my present day Custom Car hero’s John Aiello.

I will be posting some of the current project at the shop, and add when I find new material in the future.

First project. 36 Ford 5-window coupe into 40’s styled Roadster.

More info on the project can be found on CustomMikes website

Second interesting project was a 1940 Mercury 3-Window-Coupe…

Cool stuff Rik. His latest updates on instagram show the ’36 has been fitted with a Nash grill and a Duvall style windshield and the ’40 is in primer now and looks really good.

Both are very cool. The 36 especially will capture hearts when done. Would really love to see a few more early 30s Ford’s done as customs not hot rods.

Definitely some cool projects going on there. Reminds me a bit of the ACME shop back in the day. John being there probably adds a lot to that aspect. Even the off topic stuff (the Porsche’s and the VW 21 Window bus) looks cool.

Marcus Edell took these two pictures on his visit to the shop last weekend.

Looks like the shop will be VERY busy in the two month ahead to get several cars finished for the GNRS and Sacramento Autorama.

Interesting colour! He showed the body in paint on his Instagram account and it looks good. I have always thought a cream colour would look really good on an early custom. I look forward to seeing this one finished.
