The 1941 Fords seemed to be a lot of early custom car guys choice when buying one. Looked like all the different models were chosen and lots of really nice customs were born. The front end treatments of them have always made me smile. Here are three front ends I like the most and yes even stock I like a lot. What treatments are your favorite for the ‘41 Fords? 9200D7D4-4DD5-449A-AB1F-C745775808DDEE96931C-64F0-4E41-8DF5-8ACAC05A6E259D63F000-4FD4-48E5-B00F-074E82389841

I have always like the filled in Look.

Here is a pic of Paul Garlands 41 with a NOS after market filler piece.

In my mind though the stock 41 Grills are one of the prettiest.

I love ’41 Fords…. and there are a lot of grille restyling ideas for this car, no matter what body type, that really work well.

I will add a few I like… in no particular order.

Valley Custom Shop did this outstanding hand made grille for Ed Jacques’s 41 Ford Coupe… lots of subtile work.

    Some wild Dave Bell designs

    Enjoy the beauty of Customizing

14D4959F-081B-478B-A6A8-C7AD411FFDC1I ALWAYS LOVED the ‘48 Cadillac grills in the ‘41 Fords. I just don’t know which way I like more. The full grill or the cut down one. Looks beautiful each way.

I love the different shape the ’41 Ford front fenders have…much thinner than the ’42-’48 fenders. I think it allows for a “high cheek bone” kind of look that looks better on women, too…nobody likes the chubby Cheshire Cat face 🙂

I prefer the full ones myself.(Although I wouldn’t kick either one out of my garage.) as the cut down ones seem a bit small for the front fender area.

It’s funny that I can remember a time when the 41’s were considered the “Odd Ducks” of the Fat fender’ed crowd. My favorite of the 41-48 styles.

I totally know what you mean by the cut down one looks to small for the front of that car. I still like it but that always made me look at it more.

This is why kustoms are so great- I prefer the cut-down version of the ’48 Cadillac grill like the Lopez Ford. To me, it shows off more of the body and accentuates its curves, leaving more body mass between the head lights. I think it is just right on the proportions. The full-size ’48 Cadillac grill does look great, too.

I have the black 41 Bickford posted on the first pic. The 41 is such a great fat fenderd ford to kustomize that’s  why so many people used them. The stock grill is beautiful. It’s kustom from the factory as is. But if one was to kustomize the 48 caddy grill is perfect as well as the aftermarket grill block off piece that garlands has . With the block out piece fully integrated into the grill makes the ride front end more modified and thus more whole. It’s a nice piece for that ride. And wraps up that front end nicely. Very cohesive

    Respect tradition
