So far so good.  Much happier with the look with parade boot. Marrying up the hardtop will be next and DC621875-5822-4DDE-8E5B-D94E03B0DD1Ctricky and hopefully the transition will be complimentary.

Thankyou as always for the encouragement guys. Been tinkering the last few afternoons to get this close to all working. Much cleaner detail and folding operation.  Cleaning up all the little details is fiddly but rewarding. Every buzz of the welder is a step closer.266EE489-ED7A-41FF-B197-7D87ED3C8333

Looking good Quentin. Did you ever figure out the double hinge for the decklid and parade boot?

The double hinge for the parade boot was alleviated by going this route.  I look at every contemporary convertible that passes me and they all have a similar detail. It’s definitely a cleaner look with the roof down and with the folding roof up.  The next test will be to get the hardtop to sit as cleanly.

It appears that the  39 Lasalle custom built by Bohman Schwartz survives and is getting restored. 12FFCD2A-3206-4D3F-91B4-20C01FFF26E1EE260E57-32C7-4341-8138-04F0A6A1E7BAA56DBE22-8438-4CAB-9D47-D569763FE9789958C499-ED3C-4FEC-A91B-5ABEFC1F12F580D7D7A7-E509-485B-BC12-17CD34B591E3
