Posting this for Jake Christmas.
Jake’s uncle purchased this 1948 Chevy Stylemaster two door on Nov. 27th 2012. He bought it from the original owner’s grandson in Allen, Texas. The car was bought brand new in Texas, and has always been a Texas car. Since 2012 Jake’s uncle has been working on and off on the car and in 2015 the car was repainted completely. The grille, hood emblems and ornament, as well as the front and rear bumper and trunk handle were rechromed. The wheels were painted and a new set of hubcaps and beauty rings were bought at chevsofthe40s. The wheels were wrapped in brand new 4” wide white wall Coker Tires. New fender skirts and an original Fulton visor with all of the correct mounting hardware were added for that nostalgia look. The 216 inline 6 motor has 21K miles on it and runs great.
Before the car was repainted in 2015 it was stripped down all the way to the bare metal. The body looked really great and car has never been in a wreck. The driver’s side has a small hole in the floor pan that has been patched. The trunk is super solid even in the spare wheel area.
The rear of the car has been lowered, using the correct 48′ Chevy lowering kit from Axle Sid‘s Suspension Shop. The front suspension still needs to be rebuilt along with the steering box for reliable and safe driving. The interior is still in the original condition and needs to be redone as well.
Car is the perfect base for 40’s style street Custom, low-Rider or ultimate Chopped Sedan Custom with a very solid base as starting point.
A total of 16k has been invested.
Asking $13,500.00 or best offer.
(Car is located in Flower Mound, Texas. About 40 minutes outside of Dallas.)
