    Hello,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Marcus from Germany and started restoring a 1946 Buick Sedanette Roadmaster.

I am still in progress in fixing the floor parts and panels. So it will take some time before I can start with Kustomizing it. I have plans in my mind in the direction of the build. Period correct as it could of been built in the late 40’s.

I want to thank all people sharing theire build and knowledge to the people which are new in this scene. Its an enjoymet reading and wathing.

Thanks specialy to Wolf starting my project.K800_20180610_135353K800_20180610_135403

Welcome Marcus ! The pictures Ive seen reviels some serious rust repairs acomplished with great care and skills , which I could do something similar to my -50 Buick which needs a new floor ! Im knee deep into my buddys Stefans -48 Buick Roadmaster top chop which we started last fall and are still working on for probably another winter season , Im trying to take it slow and methodically since its my first sedanette topchop .

Looking forward to your posts .

Driver side, the body looked better as it was together. Lots of bad repairs. Metal sheets where overlapped with the rusted panels underneath. So I decided to cut out everything and builkding it up new. I started with the passengerside and left the driv er side to take mesurments.

This is my first restoration of an body where I had to build so many parts and trying to get them lined up in the first place. A challenge Learning to bend metal but seeing the result is the best.

I have a lot of thought how this car could look like. The biggist challenge will still come when its starts with the custom work.

So back on working on the Buick. I have a big help from Wolf (Thank you) in helping me understanding chopping a sedanette since this is my first chop. Not easy learning with pictures and reading.

These are the first pictures of the start. After I thought it was looking right from about 3m I rolled it out to check the flow. First I thought it looked good but ran into different problems. So the car is back in the garage and I’m starting from the beginning moving the roof around again.
