I know it’s been awhile but while I was moving and getting settled Mike at Keuhl Metal was working on other projects. he was able to get back to making the other sail panel.
once all the pieces were formed he started fitting the seams and welding. the first pieces were the window frame to the piece below it. after a full weld, a little hammer and dolly then some planishing, pretty much an invisible weals seam.
all the other pieces were tacked together for now so it could be removed in one piece until all the foam and some of the bracing is removed. then he’ll be able to planish the whole thing when the welding is finished.
I had to see it with the door top in place. And while I was at it I did a little clean up work.. I did not have much time, so its not up to my normal standards…
Not sure what your plans are for the door corners, and if you will be adding a drip rail or not.
thanks Bert and Rik. yes the door corner will be rounded and it will have a ’36 style drip rail. also I wanted to put the trunk lid on for the picture but I left it at Mike’s shop.
