finally to start shaping some metal! after cutting a piece of sheetmetal the size of the pattern Mike decided where he’ll need to shrink and what areas he’ll need to stretch to get the shape we need. he’ll do most of the shrinking on a Pullmax and stretching on a power hammer and a planishing hammer.A7F3DF7E-96C6-4C49-86AC-2A089FAEEB7E_1_201_a3ADCB1B8-DB53-4A2E-B823-C66051EBFBEE_1_201_a25C9A25E-456D-4BB9-8E88-38E9E9824A5B_1_201_a1861F65E-BFE0-43C0-B977-F7F12ECDCAED_1_201_a

Oh wow, that is a very interesting technique to transfer the foam shape to flat metal.

    Congratulations on the new home.

    Enjoy the beauty of Customizing

Flexible shape pattern.  Looks like he is a Wray Schelin disciple. Nice work.

Mike, just musing:  What if the old time “panel-beaters” like the French Figoni, Saoutchik, Chapron fellows could peek in and see what your guys are creating.  Wouldn’t they be grinning from ear to ear.  And the Valley Custom boys, the Ayalas, Barris brothers and Bill Cushenbery.  Panel beating!  For sure.

Deeply appreciate your sharing, Mike.  Thank you.
