Custom Car Pioneer Willy Wilde is at it again

Willie Wilde, now lives and works in Florida, but he used to have a Custom Shop in Gonzales California. Well know Customizer Rod Powell named him the original “Devil with a hammer”.

Back in the 1950’s Willie Wilde had his shop in Gonzales California.

Willy Wilde Custom Car Chronicle member Cousin Eric has started a thread on the CCC-Forum about Willie Wilde customizing his 1949 Ford Sedan.The work has been done a little while ago, but Eric had never shared the process shots until now with the Custom Car Chronicle.

Willie has done the initial work including a lot of rust removal and a really well balanced chop on Eric’s car.

  • The shoebox by Willie has a perfect loft going down to the truck area. We have so many great custom guys from California, Florida gain and a big loss for California.
