Larry Watson Rainbows

Larry Watson was a very skilled painter his technique to make long smooth movements show exceptionally well in his rainbow painted cars.

Larry Watson had developed a technique in which he made huge smooth step making sure his arms would stay level. This technique was developed for covering cars with candy paint in smooth flowing movements. Making sure there was no darker spots. Larry used this technique on the cars he covered with bright candy rainbow fades as well. The candies were applied over pearl or silver metallic paint jobs and blended incredibly smooth.

Below is a selection of some of Larry Watson best rainbow fading paint jobs.

  • Larry Watson never stopped innovating. Until I went to his museum, I never had any idea about any of his rainbow painted cars. As far as I know, there were never any of them in magazines. Thanks for putting these up!
