GNRS 2017 CUSTOMS
The Grand National Roadster Show is now in its 68th year. Once known as the Oakland Roadster Show, it is the longest running indoor car show in the world! A collection of photos of the Custom Cars attending the 2017 Show.
At the end of January, early February of each year one of the most prestigious in-door car show is held. Formerly known as the Oakland Roadster show, first held in 1950, later renamed the Grand National Roadster Show. The car used to be held in a relatively small Exposition building in Oakland California. Today it is held, for the 14th time at the Pomona Fairplex were a number of buildings is devoted to the most stunning Hot Rods, Race Cars and Custom Cars in the world.
The set-up for the show always starts on Wednesday, and continues till Thursday evening. The show opens on Friday morning Jan 27, 2017 and will be open till Sunday afternoon Jan 29.
I have started to collect all the Custom Car related photos I have been able to find online, and gathered those on the CCC-Forum for everybody to enjoy. At the end of this article there is a link to the Forum Post. The post will grow in the next couple of days when more photos of more cars will come in.
I write this on Friday morning moments before the show opens. I have seen a great number of set-up day photos. It looks like 2017 is once again a really great show. The AMBR consenters are all extremely nice this year, all real Hot Rods and even one full Custom Car! I’m also really pleased to see a great number of new full Customs at the show. Some cars that I had seen construction photos of, but also a good number of Customs that are completely new to me… very exciting. Below are a few samples of the great Customs at the 2016 GNRS in Pomona California. Enjoy.
