SOLD is a rare opportunity to buy a historic Custom at a very affordable price.
Car was bought new and immediately customized by the famous Custom Car builder, Gil Ayala of Gil’s Auto Body Works. The car was used by Gil as his personal car.
It was on the cover and featured in Motor Life Magazine in May, 1957.
Featured in Car Craft in 1958 and was featured in the 1958 Trend books “Custom cars annual”.It has many custom features such as extended front and rear fenders,’55 Pontiac front bumpers,’56 Lincoln tail lights,’54 Cadillac rear bumper guards, etc. All original work done by Gil and Al Ayala.
This is a project car that is missing it’s engine, trans and interior.Included in the sale is a complete ’55 T-Bird parts car that has the Y-block engine, trans, complete interior and all trim needed to bring this historic custom back to it’s former glory.
The photos below show the parts car that comes with the price. This car includes all the missing parts from the original Ayala Custom, including the engine.

So once restored to its former glory this will be a crowd pleaser where ever it goes.
