So, I sold my 52′ Chevy hardtop last weekend and went and bought another car. It’s a 47 Deluxe Coupe, some one had already started on making into a street rod with a updated drivetrain, horrible bucket seats and god awful cragar wheels with radial wide whitewalls. I’ll start posting pictures as I change it into a early custom, loosely styled after the Bill DeCarr 41.

Looking forward to it Andy. If it turns out half as cool as the Chev it will be ok in my books.

    Nice one Andy

Hopefully finding info on my 34 Vicky in it's original Kustomized form.

Mmmm.. Hot rods are cool – customs are even cooler! How “loose” are you planning Andy? Fade-aways? Anyway nice job peeling away the rod and adding the custom!

So , Friday night I got started on the chop. I took out 5″ out of the A and B pillars. Earlier last week I spent my nights filling all the trim holes that were just filled with bondo.

Here’s more from last night, I started shaving the drip rail and rounded the door top corner.

Thanks for sharing, Andy. You are getting right after it. As they say in Montana, “It’s not your first rodeo, is it.” These construction threads are invaluable, and a source for inspiration to be found in no other place. Long live the CCC.

YES! Another chop thread. I love it and I can see you have made some paper mallet for fade away fenders.

    Looks great Andy,

Any chance you can make a dead on side view of the car?
